My name is Kayleigh. I have always had many interests, flitting from one activity or idea to another, unable to choose just one area to pursue. I suppose you could say that I am a Jack of all trades, master of none.

Society often pressures us from a young age to pick a lane and stick in it. If you do not do this, you may be perceived to be aimless, unfocussed or lacking direction. The truth is that we need to be stimulated in multiple areas of life, physically, spiritually, socially, emotionally and mentally, for us to attain a sense of well-being.

Recently, I have prioritised and embraced various interests – old and new. I have stopped putting limits on myself and overthinking the reasons for me not to do things, as well as worrying about what other people may think. These interests have included photography, yoga, reading, writing, baking, cooking, spirituality, mindfulness, health, nature and environmental issues – I could go on. The decision to change my mindset and do more of what I enjoy transformed my outlook on life and provided me with confidence in myself as an individual and not just a wife, mother, employee etc.

The purpose of this blog is to share and capture my many interests and promote the importance of doing what you love to achieve personal well-being. Perhaps it may also encourage and inspire others to start their own journey.
