It’s my favourite time of the year! Yes, I am that ‘basic girl’ who loves Autumn, Halloween and all things cosy!
You’ll find me over the next few weeks collecting conkers, visiting the pumpkin patch and wearing all the fluffy clothing I own. Not to mention the long list of films I aim to fit in, like; Hocus Pocus, Casper, Practical Magic, Beetlejuice, Sleepy Hollow, Harry Potter and Labyrinth. Nothing too scary though, as my vivid imagination does not need any further encouragement.
I don’t know what it is about this time of year that appeals to so many people. Perhaps it’s the weather – misty mornings turning into sunny but crisp days, mixed in with plenty of cosy rainy days. Maybe it’s how landscapes transform from green into vibrant yellows, oranges and reds. It could also be the beautiful sunrises and sunsets that occur across the clear skies. I think that it is actually because of all of these reasons. Halloween aside, Autumn has a magical feel to it, which seems to have a special place in peoples hearts.
I drew this witches cat creating a magic potion to mark the beginning of October.
