The Switch – Book Review

The Switch by Beth O’Leary is a heartwarming book about community, family and re-discovering lost parts of yourself.

Beth has written the book from two perspectives, 29-year-old Leena and her 79-year-old Grandma, Eileen.

The two women decide to swap lives after experiencing some recent struggles. Leena returns to a quiet village in Yorkshire after being forced to take a well-needed break from work. Eileen moves to London, which is something she had always dreamed of doing when she was younger. Eileen is also hopeful that she will find love again.

I very much enjoyed reading The Switch and found it to be humorous, emotional and cleverly written. I became very attached to both characters, especially Eileen. She is determined and full of life – something I hope to be when I reach the age of 79.

I would 100% recommend this book!
